Are there games appropriate for this age group parents are always present so they will manage the mouse control etc? In terms of turn taking or learning some basic concepts? I also work with high school students. Are there materials specifically designed for students aged ?
Yes, I use them with my high school students. We have a good amount of material for articulation, language inferencing, short stories , and pragmatics conversational turn-taking, problem solving, etc.
I was wondering how you use the interactive games with zoom? Do you log onto zoom and then add this site? Not sure how it works so any information would be helpful. Thank you Shannon Shain.
Just pull up our site and select those two options in Zoom. Yes, it can be used in Google Meets. You can screen share the materials. Hi Lori, Do you have decks for each of the speech sounds in all positions, phrases, and sentences? Thank you for taking the time to respond. Hi Vidya, yes we have cards for all speech sounds in all positions for words and most phrases and sentences.
I love your games and have signed up for a trial membership! After some investigating I answered my own question and see that you can choose multiple sounds and sound positions with one game.
I am thrilled!!! This site will save me hours of work and prepping. I will spread the word!!! Thank you so much!!! So how do you share in Google Meet? Please help!! You should be able to screen share the site in Google Meet, so that you are both seeing the same screen. I came across your materials on a shared Facebook post. All the comments raved about your site. I was wondering if the on-line materials would work in person, as well sharing just one computer.
By having access to all of these materials would free up so much space in my trunk! Hi Sarah, Glad you found our site! You can use them for in-person sessions as well. Our games and activities work on any computer, tablet, phone, or smart device. I love all the activities. Such a lifesaver during this time. I cannot get it to show on the drop down menu consistently for use. Same issue for me with Zoom!
Zoom tutorials are not helpful! I am using my laptop and am trying to connect with chrome book users…. HI Lori This looks great and I am thinking of trying this out as it would be so useful while doing a lot of sessions over Zoom. However, is it easy to stop the subscription if I find I am not really wanting to do much online therapy after all of this is over? Yes, our subscription is month-to-month. You can cancel any time by clicking the gear icon on our top right navigation bar.
I believe this has been asked already, but these can be done with google meet? This is the only platform I am allowed to use. From what I have seen, we can share our screen but it does not allow us to give our students mouse control.
The students still enjoy the games and activities even if your platform does not allow them to click. I was wondering if there is any way to customize cards within the game board games. For example, if I wanted to put in specific speech sound targets e. This would be an awesome feature to have a way to customize for some of our kids who have very specific targets.

Since some of my students have limited fine motor skills, gluing on pieces works better for me! There an apple, crab and penguin version available too! On each turn, a student rolls the dice and states the number rolled verbally or with AAC. If the piece is already glued on, then roll again! Once the turn is finished, have the next student request a turn and then pass the dice.
Hope this post gave you some ideas for using board games in your speech and language therapy sessions! Comment below with any games you love using in therapy!
